Logan Rago
Co-founder & Grooming Artist
Logan brings balance to brilliance. With a quiet confidence and a magnetic sense of calm, he’s the heartbeat behind Mimo’s warmth—and the hand behind many of its most iconic grooms. Logan approaches grooming like sculpture: intentional, detailed, and deeply intuitive. He knows how to read a dog’s body language like a second language—and how to make them look damn good doing it.

Gabriel Feitosa
Co-founder & Grooming Artist
Gabriel doesn’t just groom dogs—he elevates them. Born in São Paulo with clippers in hand (almost literally), Gabriel has spent over 20 years redefining grooming as an art form. His work has captivated millions across TikTok and Instagram, earning him a finalist spot on ABC’s Pooch Perfect and landing features in CNBC, FOX, ABC, CBS, AP News, Telemundo, TF1, RTL, Globo, and more.
Together in business and in life, Gabriel and Logan are shaping the future

Cindy Ruiz
Grooming Artist
Mimo University Heights
A proud Mexican-American, Cindy fell in love with dogs at 12 when she got her first pup, Lola, a scruffy little terrier mix. On a trip to the groomer, she watched someone kiss a freshly fluffed poodle and thought, “That’s the job for me.”
She began her career as a bather at the age of 20 and has been with Mimo for over two years, developing into a talented groomer under our training program. Now, with over 45,000 followers on TikTok, she shares her skills and passion with a Spanish-speaking audience, bringing beauty, care, and representation to the world of grooming.
She’s not just building styles—she’s building community.

Samantha Ruiz
Grooming Artist
Mimo La Jolla
Samantha’s grooming journey began with a misunderstood rescue bulldog—labeled aggressive, but after she showed him love and patience, he opened up completely. That moment changed everything and sparked her calling to work with animals.
She realized that all dogs deserve love and care—and that with compassion, everything can change.
Inspired by her sister Cindy Ruiz, Samantha joined Mimo’s training program and graduated from the Groomers Curriculum with a strong foundation in AKC safety standards. She introduced the braiding technique to our salon, assisted Gabriel with creative color, and now shines as a full-fledged groomer at our La Jolla location under the mentorship of both Logan Rago and Gabriel Feitosa.

Nayandis Exposito
Hand-Stripping Specialist
University Heights
Nayandis fell in love with dogs at age 7 thanks to Peluche, his family’s tiny poodle mix. But it was a moment with a sick neighbor’s dog—one that looked at him as if asking for help—that made him realize he was meant to work with animals.
After moving to the U.S., he worked as a Spanish teacher until a fated meeting with Gabriel Feitosa helped him rediscover his calling. He joined the Mimo training program and quickly found his niche as a hand-stripping specialist, restoring and maintaining the coat integrity of wire-coated breeds with patience and precision.
He now shares his life (and grooming inspiration) with Guapo, his Wire Fox Terrier and show dog—and yes, Guapo is absolutely treated like his child.

Natache Menezes
Store Manager
Mimo University Heights
Born in Brazil, Natache has been passionate about dogs since childhood—thanks to a little Lhasa Apso named Lobinho. With a background in retail and human behavioral therapy, she brings a rare blend of leadership and deep empathy to Mimo.
Her heart dog, Tiny Spikey Mikey, who lives with neurological challenges, inspired her to study animal behavior. Today, she ensures every pup is treated with patience, care, and styled to perfection, just like Mikey.
She’s also the eye behind our retail line, handpicking products with the love only a true dog mom could deliver.
